CAUSES AND EFFECTS OF EXAMINATION MALPRACTICES AMONG JUNIOR HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS IN NEW EDUBIASE

The level of students’ involvement in examination malpractice Junior High Schools Ghana has become increasingly worrying, problematic and threatening to the well-being Ghanaian educational system. However, there seems be paucity studies on causes effects malpractices among School students Adansi South District (New Edubiase) Ashanti Region particular. This research seeks bridge this knowledge gap by identifying discussing New Edubiase. Study methods include use questionnaire (open close ended questions). A total ninety (90) respondents comprising sixty (60) thirty (30) teachers who took part study were randomly purposively selected. results indicate that collusion, leakages, smuggling answers scripts late submission parcels, sending foreign materials into hall, impersonation, dubbing, writing items (sheets papers, handkerchief, erasers, covers calculator), question papers exchanging them with others copy, communicating orally or through gestures during using fake names index numbers, buying questions for offering money authorities assist their children mass cheating are nature revealed brings loss trust system, reduced enrolmentof school, frequent cancellation results, discourages good students/candidates from studying hard, derives innocent opportunity admission, decrease job efficiency, bring dissatisfaction candidates, renders goals education invalid, cheats obtain certificates which they cannot defend, quality standard country, adversely affects national productivity as workers possess not backed commensurate knowledge, skills values, makes employers labour lose confidence system credentials paraded seekers lastly leads high wastage those cheat pass examinations at a lower level, achieve very poorly higher level.Keywords: Causes, Effects, Examination, Malpractices, School, Students, Edubiase, Region, Ghana.
